CONVISO® ONE is a post-emergence herbicide applied at a dose rate of 1.0L/ha in a single application.
Lower dose rates should be avoided to reduce the risk of selecting for resistant weeds.
CONVISO® ONE can be used in sequence with other products to adapt the system for specific conditions (e.g. tall weeds, weed resistance management) or weather situations (e.g. long-lasting drought) if required.
Classic varieties are fully sensitive to ALS-inhibitor herbicides and would be destroyed by CONVISO® ONE.
CONVISO® SMART – The KWS Manual for UK Growers
The dose rate per season is limited to 1.0 l/ha in a single appllication.
CONVISO® ONEis registered to be used from 4 until 8 leaf stage of sugar beet. But the decision on when to apply the herbicide is determined by the growth stage of the weeds.
The guiding weed is Fat hen (Chenopodium album). Once the first fat hens reach 2 - 4 true leaves (BBCH 12) 1.0 L/ha CONVISO® ONE should be applied. In case there is no fat hen in the fields, choose another weed and look for the first individuals showing 2 - 4 true leaves.
CONVISO® ONE can be sequenced with classic herbicides if required.
Herbicides belonging to the group of ALS inhibitors act slower than the classical herbicides currently used in sugar beets. After the application of CONVISO® ONE weeds stop growing (1-3 days) followed by yellowing (chlorosis) which then turns into a reddish tone (4-10 days). Finally plants show a progressive browning (necrosis) and will die (7-20 days).
